The association continues the legacy of Professor Toshio Oshima, who established the first “Urban Environmental Engineering” course in the Department of Architecture at Waseda University in 1970. For the past 24 years, the International Exchange and Conferences division has operated under the Nonprofit Organization of the Asian Urban Environmental Association. Now, we are establishing a new platform for international discussions on urban environmental issues. By connecting researchers from various Asian countries and serving as an international organization for exchange and cooperation, we aim to advance urban environmental research in Asia. By disseminating valuable information to address the specific urban environmental issues of different Asian cities, we hope to make these cities more livable and prosperous. Furthermore, we aim to contribute to addressing global environmental issues.
This institution will contribute to exchange information about the Asian cities’ environment and the improvement of science and technology in this field.
